Case Management

Our case managers give you peace of mind throughout the return to work process. Acting as individual facilitators for each case, they follow every claim from beginning to end, coordinating the insurer, health professional and supervising the on-going recovery of the injured worker. One person and one point of contact, to coordinate the process and ensure a sustainable and efficient return to work - it doesn’t get much easier than that!

The emphasis on case management will always be the safe and durable return to work of an injured worker within the shortest and most cost effective time frame. The more time lost by an injured worker due to his or her injury capacity impacts not only on the WorkCover scheme but also on the quality of life of that injured worker.

Actevate applies a multi-disciplinary team approach to case management and utilises the skills of degree qualified health professionals to form a wide variety of disciplines to ensuring that positive return to work and health outcomes are achieved.

Actevate considers there to be three possible strategic stages for case progression:
  • early intervention: 0-4 weeks incapacity;
  • emerging long term claims: 4-27 weeks incapacity; and
  • long-term claims intervention: 27-52 weeks.

Each stage has varying impacts on the life of a claim and each requires different management to reduce the progression to the next stage so as to move the case forward to resolution.
